People
A special feature of Ethos is our growing network of columnists. We are drawn together for two basic reasons.
The first is our shared concern for the well-being of people, animals and nature. We reject having to choose the well-being of one over the others. Indeed, for both moral and pragmatic reasons, our fates are intertwined.
The second is our non-dogmatic approach to ethics. As practical ethicists we look for what different ethical perspectives are right about, not for the one true theory of ethics. This ability to draw out the best moral insights from a wide variety of sources is a distinguishing feature of practical over applied and formal ethics.
