Frontiers of Wolf Recovery Conference (by William Lynn)
Please note an upcoming conference, ‘Frontiers of Wolf Recovery’, 1-4 October 2005 in Colorado Springs, CO, USA (IWC 2005). The conference is organized by the International Wolf Center based in Ely, Minnesota (www.wolf.org/). The IWC is a premier conservation education centre in North America. This is the fourth conference organzed by the IWC, which along with a handful of other meetings, is one of the most important on wolves, wildlife and wildlands. The foci of IWC 2005 are wolf ecology, education and the broader human dimensions of wolf recovery. This should make it especially attractive to ethicists, humanists, social scientists, and concerned citizens, as well as wildlife and policy professionals. You can find out more, as well as submit an abstract for an oral or poster session, by visiting the conference website at www.wolf.org/wolves/wolfconference/wolf_2005.asp. You may also want to sign up for the IWC’s excellent e-newsletter, Rendezvous at www.wolf.org/wolves/learn/educator/rendezvous_opt_in.asp.
